So thanks to a great ROAK by DUKENDABEARS, I am now a proud member of the shrimp club. Just received about a dozen RCS. They're drip acclimating now. I never knew they were so tiny!

They might be juveniles, some of my females a just over an inch, and that's about as big as they get, unlike Amano shrimp 1-2 inches

At full length they get about 1" - 1.5"

If you want to talk tiny, get paracaridina (blue bees) or opae ula.
And caridina babies >.>

It must be because you must have so many tiny shrimp, eh?!

And I have a mixture of sizes, but none an inch long. Yet! I thought people were joking when they said invertebrates were addictive. I already love seeing these guys zipping around in the tank.

I thought the same thing when I got my first shrimp.

PFR's must be in the tiny shrimp club. I've had a group of them for 4ish months now and none are even 3/4" long.

BV are smaller than the avg cherry. Usual size is ~3/4 max.

Ah, yes! It is closer to 20. I just obsessively counted them. They're all just so fast that it is hard's hard to keep track! Thanks again DUKENBEARS.

Also, I don't know if it was the moss, or maybe the red tiger lotus/moneywort I got from other members, but I suddenly have some mystery fry swimming in my tank. They're too small for the microworms I have, but luckily I've had a green water container set up since last year. This should be an interesting adventure. Who doesn't love a good mystery fry?!

Just a fair warning for ya...This will never ever ever ever end! Almost 2 years since I first got my shrimp and I'm still sitting on the cat house counting them at least once a week. Ticks the cats off to no end.

congrats! mine play the hiding game, what with a fully stocked fish tank. just last night i saw a blue rili stirred up and swim out in the open, and then immediately duck under cholla wood not to be seen again. so now it's more like hide and seek for fun versus a calming all the time looky at them.
