Strange eggs in my tank??

Spotted something odd tonight. on a few java fern stalks there are single little square blocks a few mm apart, 2mm square, transparent with a small white dot in the middle.

something like this [o]

all thats in there is Harliquins, Enders, Bristlenose, red cherries, trumpet snails and the odd pond snail.
nothing that should be laying eggs like that.

any ideas??

cheers

That sounds like an assassin snail egg to me. Maybe your trumpet snail could be confused for an assassin snail?

Could it be a pond snail egg "clutch" with just one egg in the middle?

It does sound more like an assassin egg, though.

If it does it's an assassin snail egg.
