How is the LED attached to the tank right now? Is it removable, or are you thinking about using a different LED?

Try searching on 'ZooMed light stand'.
Sorry, away from my PC.

Also depends on how much damage you want to do to your wall: 2 cheap bookshelf brackets, 1-2 planter baskets, 2 metal electrical wire conduits attached to the table, brick-a-brack display shelf, etc will work rather well.

Well, I think you might be able to get two 2x4 boards cut to however high you want your light to be above the tank, set them on either side of the tank, and put a board across the back to support it. That explanation definitely does not sound how I am envisioning it, so I will try to make a diagram of some sort and add it on shortly.

This is as close as I could get to a diagram . If you wanted to move it forward on the tank you could add a horizontal block of wood (that goes along the side of the tank) between the piece that goes behind the tank and the piece that goes on the side of the tank. I hope that helps. Just ask if you want me to try to clarify what i mean

This is the light I made from black thick acrylic and some LEDs made for cars (or so they claim). I just used 2 DC plugs for the 2 different colors..But I had the same problem when I decided to use some LEDs and took me a few different ways other than this before I ended on this little light setup. This is for my 2.5 gal reef tank but it works for a 12" cube as well.

Turned out pretty good all in all.

Good luck to ya!
