I have various different types of shrimps and was wondering what the benefits of almond leaves are to the shrimp tanks? I have heard of people using them in their tanks. What is the good and bad points to them and how many leaves for what size tank?
They lower the pH and help prevent infections. I put some in my tank for the heck of it and my shrimp are happier already. One medium sized leaf is enough for a 20gal tank, and they last for a couple of weeks, so it doesn't take much.
