Fish/fry get burned by heater?

Can fish especially fry get burned and die from submersible heaters?
If so is this common? I am breeding fish and shrimp so I want high rates..

I don't think so. The heat should be dispersed quickly so unless your tank is at 150 degrees Fahrenheit no they will not be burned.

I have not had a problem with this. I have personally witnessed my fry swimming near the heater. If it gets too hot, they swim away.
