Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to say a quick hello! Just stumbled upon this forum while searching for some plant info. A bit about me: I've been in the aquarium hobby for about 3 and a half years and I've kept and bred a few freshwater fish as well as keeping and breeding marine fish and reef tanks. Recently found myself missing the hobby after getting out and picked myself up a simple 10 gallon tank. So my current set up is:

-Standard 10 gallon tank
-DIY LED fixture (10 3watt LEDs)
-Aquaclear HOB filter (don't remember model...rated up to 20 gallons)
-Simple 50watt heater
-Seachem fluorite substrate
-Single piece of drifwood
-Some decorative rocks

Current tank residents:
-4 dwarf puffers
-About 25 ghost shrimp

I'd post pics of everything but I'm having water clarity problems and for whatever reasons my plants are very unhappy.

Anyways, hope to hear from you guys!

Thanks for the welcome! and I'm not too sure to be honest. Plan on adding some extra diodes in a the next week or so. If that doesn't work I may have to change the light source or try dosing the tank with trace nutrients since I have a light bioload.

Welcome to the forum!

Do your puffers treat Ghost shrimps with respect or as a quick snack? Thanks!

They coexist peacefully. I'm considering trying a neocardina species but i'm still iffy about it. Big price difference.

I've got cherries in with my dwarf puffer. You should try it out although I've heard ghost shrimp will go after the cherries. You can get cherries for 1.50 apiece on here.

yeah the ghosts are pretty agrressive. i might just net them up when i do my water change tomorrow and hand them off to a friend. I've seen the cherries run about $1 on CL in my area so may give it a shot.
