Age old background question...

Black, blue, or white? Or something completely different??

Med to potentially high light, led lighting, ada ammazonia soil... The tank

All three viewing sides are low iron glass *starphire*

Leaning more towards a blue hue as the amazonia is already fairly dark.. Thoughts, input, suggestion?

I've done blue, gray and black backgrounds and black is the only one that I have ever liked. The black just seems to make the plants really stand out. I can't explain it, but the blue and gray just looked awkward to me. Once the tank is planted and established, you really won't see any contrast between the soil and the background.

I bought the frosted privacy glass vinyl from home depot and really like it, although the overall look will depend on the color of your wall behind it.

Depends on the layout, but black looks good on anything.

I got plenty of black paint in the house to!

The other question, leave the internal sump as is, or try and cover it as well.

It has more of an effect in real life than in photos. It basically softens whatever color is behind. If you check out the ADA mist tanks it kind of looks like that.

since there will be minimal cords. frosted might not be a bad idea!
but im one of those black fans... all my tanks are jet black. although a 10 gallon had some fun with a tin foil background

I'm trying to find a pic, but I saw a tank that had the back painted in a fade from navy at the bottom to almost white at the top, sort of similar to a sunset without the reds. It was pretty nice looking. If I can find a pic I'll add it here.
