when u see one in person, itll make sense, the blade has nothing to chop against. it basically just moves water.
however a rio has a housing in which shrimp can get squished into when the impellar goes by.
koralia is an open housing propeller, not impeller.
it simply pushes water,
it does not force water out of the nearest exit like a pump

Yay special delivery!

I see what you mean about it beig fairly safe. I had down duckweed and hygro leaves get sucked in with no major damage. The harlequins seem to love playing in the flow!
