ADA Garden Mat Question

I received an ADA garden mat from AFA in the mail today. The stated dimensions on the packaging are 60 x 30 cm (for use use with a 60p tank). However, the mat is significantly larger than these stated dimensions, coming in at 65cm x 33cm. I am assuming I somehow got a mat that was not cut to spec and the correct mats are supposed to line up perfectly with the boundaries of the 60p tank.

If garden mat owners could post their experiences, that would be swell.

Hello, they all come a little larger than a flush fit, that is normal. ADA then says to trim it to the size you need.

* The mat is slightly bigger than aquarium. Please cut to a proper size before installing.

Thanks! Wish they would have said that on the AFA website.

That's a better problem to have than one being too small. I ordered a non-ADA mat online and it looked great but was not square and left about 1/4" to 1/8" of the glass overhanging the mat. My friends think I'm crazing fretting over those types of details!
