Ordered 20x Hyphessobrycon Amandae yesterday.

Gloss starting to get a bit out of hand.

Rotala still pretty green during the day, but the stems are getting really thick

Shrimps are still ok ;>

Still thinking about adding Hydrocotyle Tripartita.
Ill try to make some better pictures (evening pics) next time.

So, where are you from? What light is used in the beginning and what color is it? Looks great!

I've got a question regarding this glosso.
Adding fishies soon, so i really want to prune it before they get in.
So i dont have to disturb them for at least a week.

Can i get away with pruning it all at once without getting a green algae bloom?
Im kinda worried removing like 50/75% of the bio load all at once.

Edit:
Cut it back to like 3/4cm

Nothing really happend.
Glosso still recovering, i expect it too take off again very soon.
DHG and Vivipara starting to grow now aswell.

Still keeping my ferts 'high' up.
No3=30 Po4=3 Co2=30+ etc

Light just came on, guess thats why the plants all look a bit yellow.

Rotala growing out

Ember tetras.

Emerse vivipare on the left.

Hyphessobrycon Amandae really hated the huge water-flow.
They were just hiding in the corner.
So today i changed it up a bit.

Bigger spray-bar, aimed it a bit up for good circulation.
It looks like the shrimps and embers are a lot happier now.

Also i gave the Rotala an haircut and added Hydrocotyle.
And rearranged the Rotala, so i can add another plant in that place \
Middle part is still work in progress ;>

I'm not sure if i like the change. What do you think?

Yesterday

Now

Some algae decided to start growing on the rocks.

Gloss not fully recovered yet. (still looks kinda ugly tbh)

Have seen some shrimps with eggs, but when i came back with my cam there were hiding again. So i just took a picture of a random shrimp.

Still the same here...

Got my 50cm low-tech mosstank up and running as well now.

Have to get these stones in place soon.

Shrimpies still doing very well. Seen a lot with eggs now.

Is this a rcs??

Getting kinda annoyed with this glosso already ;<

Was already bored of watching the glosso grow..
Changed it up a bit.

Some plants are still in emersed form, and need to rearrange some plant groups.

The only plant that is not doing great is Tonina spec. Belem.
I got it in really bad condition, it starts growing a bit but nothing spectacular.

Also changed my ferts regime a bit, also the fert products.
More measuring, less waterchanges.

pH : 6.4
GH : 8
KH : 4
NH4: 0
NO2: 0
NO3: >25
PO4: 2.0
FE : >0.25
CU : 0

Nothing really happened, only changed to 4000k light instead of 10000k.
Now the plants actually start to turn red for a change.

The rocks have disappeared !

Your tank is boss, I'm sure you derive quite a lot of pleasure gazing into it. You WILL get tired of the glosso. Don't be afraid to hack it down to substrate level, leaving only substrate runners and roots. It will grow back low and dense.

The OCD in me wants to top off your tank with a little more water haha.

GH = 8
-
NO3 = 15
PO4 = 1.5
FE = 0.25

And added Rotala Macrandra(?) & Pogostemon Erectus on the right side.
