Anyone using ADA CO2 Speed Regulator - used w/ CGA 320 CO2 tanks?

I'm currently thinking of getting the ADA CO2 Speed Regulator... I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with this regulator, in particular using it with a CGA-320 CO2 tank

Thanks

Most likely, if it is made by ADA, it will be designed for the Asian industrial standard, which is not compatible with the North American CGA320 standard.

If you buy one from ADG
http://www.adgshop.com/CO2_Speed_Reg..._p/101-303.htm

They sell it with an adapter you can use on CGA tanks.

I think fplata uses one with that setup.

For that price, you may want to consider just getting a custom made regulator instead. While the ADA name is good, unless there is a very specific reason why it is required, I would recommend just getting a regular (CGA320) regulator setup instead.

if regulators didn't look so big and clunky, i'd do it in a heartbeat - haha

the alternative i've considered, is the http://greenleafaquariums.com/co2-re...ulator-v3.html

I own about 6 regulators, 2 of which are Ada speed regulators with an adaptor. They are very compact and accurate. I like them, I also love my dual stage regs with high end needle valves, but those cost 2 times the amount of an Ada reg. you can't go wrong with the Ada regs

The ADA regulator that was posted above was $400. Are you saying that your dual stage regulator cost $800?

Eek, that's expensive. Even $600 for a complete dual stage regulator setup is expensive.

I think the maximum I have gone is $300 for a dual stage setup, though I have built systems for under $200 (including the CO2 cylinder).

If you get the ADA Speed Regulator, don't forgot to get the ADA EL Valve which is a solenoid so you can have timed CO2.
