Over due 75 redo


So this was my 75g in my bedroom.

I tore that up and moved a few plants around and was left with this


This grew and grew and I finally got tired of it looking like crap, so I finally got around to giving it the tlc it needed. Here is some pics. Details to follow

Here is my red tiger lotus which I'm nursing into health.

A couple anubias minima, my fave anubias btw

Alternanthera reineckii (roseafolia) and hygrophilia combryosa and the view of most the left side of the tank.
I have also added some Pygmy chain sword to the front. There is also a bunch of moss ball and java moss all over the driftwood and spread about.

The fauna is right now just some cherries and pond snails. I will be adding neon tetra soon.

Yea it was f'n big.

Lighting is 48" 54w t5ho with an diy aluminum reflector. No co2, the substrate is mostly sand I had dirt underneath playsand but I had a different plan so I took it out. Now the plan has changed again and I wish I'd left the dirt. Oh well. I have put flourish tabs all over.

I like the old and new setup! what kind of filtration are you running? I will be setting up a 75 in the future so I am checking out other setups.

whats the big bunch of plants in the middle to the right of the driftwood with the long green leaves?

I have a fluval 306 running on it, seems to work well enough. I did have quite a few fish in there at one point without problems.
My plan with this is to keep the stock pretty low so that should be over filtered. Prob going to put 20 or so neons, green neons if I can find some. I know one shop nearby has them from time to time, the question is can I wait... Anyways those and once the shrimp population gets big enough I'm going to bring a bolivian ram from another tank that's getting picked on a bit. Give it the penthouse to itself, complete with culled shrimp buffet.

As for the plant your describing if its the ones in front of the driftwood it should be anubias minima (if I'm not mistaken) if its the more yellowish less dark green leaves maybe the hygrophilia combryosa.

yes the light green leaves. the stuff you have all the way on the left side and in the middle is Hygrophila corymbosa? I have never seen it with long narrow leaves like that. I thought it was a more broader leaf. I like yours alot!

It grows like crazy too. Once it's established I have to trim it almost weekly. I'm not sure if this is a variation or what I got it in a little tub from petland. Didn't give too much description

Here's the fts again with the chain sword up front and with some plants moved around slightly
