Win aquarium closing

After 20 years win is closing it's doors on or about June 30 or sooner if he can sell out his stock sooner. Everything is 50 percent off. Just left there. The owner and his wife are retiring. I'm sad.

They had foods, some air pumps, still had plenty of fish, lots of filter parts behind the counter. some tanks and plants were marked as sold.

Really not much left, you maybe able to still get some rcs. They still got some eheim parts like output spraybar and double tap etc all 50% off, some water pump and filters.

Anyone know if they have powerheads or internal filters? I'm looking for something like a nano powerhead or the hagen pro mini elite. Guess I should check it out tomorrow.

Breaks my heart. One of the best in my opinion. Also one of the most economical.
Someone could really take over the place and do well in my opinion if willing to work.
Rent is probably a killer though :^(

Damn I'm going to cry! And for the past several months everytime I would venture into Chinatown I would only visit Win (forget Pacific and their prices)....I was truly becoming their loyal client!!

Wow, 20 years, man I wish he had that 50% last week when I stopped by.

If you see less display tanks, I would assume the new owner wouldn't be a fish store but I could be wrong.

The owners are very friendly yet private people. Asking about the new owners while you see him and his wife trying to sell their 20 year old business at their age is a tad insensative. Many people have not owned nor operated their own business to understand the pressures but lets try to be mindful and tactful if at all possible.

The hobby has a human side that many often forget. Some of us make the effort to know key people and build relationships. If the owners havent answered your questions, they really arent obligated... Which in itself speaks volumes.

I encourage people to take this opportunity pickup filter parts and accessories. Stop by and say thanks even if theres nothing you need. Let them know they're appreciated as they will be sorely missed.

Well said. I totally agree - we should thank them and wish them well in the future.
