School Suggestions?


How much tetras can i school in a 25gallon? or w.e fish you guys suggest?

I want to have a crowntail betta in the tank, mayb 2 rams, 3-4 danios, bottom feeders?


im not 100% with my list. If you guys could help me out please on how much certain type of species i can keep all together in a 25g. Also i have a canister filter so im not sure if thats 1-2g leeway

I've never kept rams, but I wouldn't stick them with a betta... Depending on the tetra in mind you may go one way or another. Danios like big tanks and chiller water, I would avoid them for now. Properly stocked and managed you could have a decent sized shoal of otocinclus, which is always freaking awesome. Either that or go all south American with a male ram a shoal of neons or cards and a fat shoal of oto or Cory cats

I think the Runny nose tetras have the best schooling behavior for small fish.

To be honst my 4 Discus always school - they keep a tight pack that looks awesome. Not really an option for you though...

I kept 10 lampeye killies in my 25g. They are really small fish, great for a tank that size. They don't have a very strong schooling behavior (anyway I think 25g is too small for any fish to display real schooling behavior), but they stick mostly together.
