Fat Neon Tetra Questions

Hi everyone,
I have several Neon Tetra fish that every time I feed them their belly gets swollen and with the time they get normal again, I have ignored the possibility of NTD, but is it still possible this is my problem?
How do I solve this swelling?

Are they very small? When I was a kid (this is going back some ... ) most of the LFS' offered small (1/8 - 1/4") neons for about a quarter apiece. Given a flake or two, they'd balloon up, but digest quickly and return to their normal shape.

I never seem to see them that tiny any more . . .

As for a solution, I'd start with smaller, more frequent meals if you can manage it.

They are doing that because you are feeding them. They get fat because they are eating so much, try cutting back on how much you are feeding.

Well, they aren't babies but young, so maybe, I don't know...
And ok, I guess all I can do is reduce their feeding.
Thanks to you all!

smaller amount of food several times a day would work.

Default I have a fat tetra too I am trying to diagnose

Any idea whats up with my Neon Tetra being so fat? Sorry about the pic

The rear of the fatness has turned translucent, almost transparent, front has some veiny stretch marks. Color seems okay, is able to swim, scales are flat.

Been cutting back on feeding, tried the pea laxative thing. Next steps if it
doesn't burst?
