2 plants gifted to me can anyone Id them please?


I was given these two plants but the guy had no idea what they were. Can anyone please help ID them so I can figure out how to care for them.

Two crypts. I'm guessing from the long leaves the first one is C. x willisii and the other one is C. parva.

Are they root feeders? Is natural sunlight wnough for them?

Yes they are root feeders. Natural sunlight is alright if you have a south-facing window. Just be prepared for algae. I'd go with some sort of light fixture instead.

It's a NE window. It gets morning sun is that not good? I know you said south facing is okay.

It should be okay then but you might have to supplement the lighting with a fixture of some sort. In my experience, any tanks that would stand in front of my south facing window would eventually get a ton of algae.
