What To Know: About Co2

I've finally decided to go big and get a pressurized Co2 system and I've done research and many people have helped me on what to get and which components do what. Now my questions are:

What BPS speed do I want?
What other levels does Co2 mess with? I know PH is one of them.
All other tips, tricks, and info you guys could give would be great aswell.

It's a 10g tank.
Thanks!

BPS depends on the efficiency of injection, and light. I would say, just start with 1 BPS. What size is your tank. Then slowly increase over the course of the next month.

It's 10g, I'm most likely going to go with this diffuser.

tips and tricks... mid tank flow is key to serving co2 to all areas of the tank and encourage gas exchange.

good luck

There are too many variables to this question. Other than your aquarium size, it will depend on how much surface agitation you have, how you are diffusing the CO2, and how effectively the CO2 is being dissolved into the water column.

I don't think there is any "tip" or "trick" to CO2; most of it is common sense. Increase your CO2 (slowly), and at any point if you see your fish gasping for air, turn the CO2 back down.

I guess "slow and steady, wins the race" is the message to take home when trying to adjust CO2.
