CPD's and Neons?

Can you mix CPD's and Neons in a tank? I am still trying to figure out my stock list for my 20L in progress

I have both. I find that my CPD's are a lot more shy, though.

I have cpd and black neons in a ten. They are fine together but the neons eat food faster so you have to make sure the cpd get enough food

I have cardinals and CPDs together and they work out very well together. No problems yet

+1. As someone mentioned above, the tetras are more aggressive eaters so you have to looks out for the CPDs but its not really an issue.

+2. Just put food in by the filter and it throws it everywhere enough that everyone gets a chance for a snack

I have both in my 29 gallon, make sure it is well planted or the CPDS will hide. I actually floated some fake plants in a corner and made a corner of the tank a jungle area, couldn't see anything in that corner. (mine where wild caught I believe) When I dropped them in there after acclimation they hide from everything. Took them 3 days to come out but they did because they had that little forest. I lost 3 because my tank didn't have enough over head cover and died from stress the first time. Now when I add to the flock the oldies teach the new ones, to come out and play. Decapped brine shrimp all the way.

They are less shy in a group. In one tank they started to come out a lot more once I added a few harlequins. I have also noticed that the ones I bought are much more timid then the fry I have raised. The breed CPDs are very social and rarely hide.

Interesting. I've got a thread going looking for suggestions for fish to go in a community tank with my CPDs once my Cardinals get their own tank. One of my criteria was that I wanted fish that would encourage my CPDs to be less shy and Espei Rasboras were towards the top of my list...they now might be the top. Thanks!
