I'm sure I did see them bite each other on the mouth. Will they be alright together?

Mine do that too. It's establishing dominance. My alpha female in the tank will even scare off males that are not her mate. They are very fun to watch in a community. Also their colors will come out allot more when they pair off and spawn.

Think one of my rams has a death wish. She is always chasing my tetras and the other ram around the tank. I'm thinking of putting that crazy in the 3g after it's setup.

I been watching one of my rams and she has been chasing around my tetras I'm pretty sure she killed two of them because everything else was fine. I had to pull her out of the tank and put her in my 3g pictope until I figure out what to do.

Well looks like you got a mean one. Mine are in tanks with neons, guppies, peacock gudgeons, among others and no aggression to the point of killing even during spawning. Here are pics of my tanks.

I'd have to go both blue, however the second one may be younger than the first, what's making me think that is that there is a lack of coloring that the first female has, the nipping may be them establishing dominance like someone else said

Purchasing rams may be tough at lfs. If you have a small store they may order them if you ask. Also on this forum, There is someone with the name matt that sells them. Also aquabid.com

I wish you where local to me I could use more females. And I've got wild caught males. I would trade. Talk to your lfs see if they will order a big group and then you can pick and choose. If not matt13 on this forum or aquabid. I would check matt first though. From what I've seen his rams are great.

i checked with matt about 2 months ago, and he didnt have any gbrs :/

but I wouldnt get a male with the two females, then that left out girl might get bullied even more...instead i would do a sorority, where the aggression would hopefully be spread out.

or just get a male, let it pair up, then get rid of the third wheel

It might help if you got a male German ram. I have 2 Gold face electric Blue rams along with 1 Golden ram who is female.
