My 2 berried cbs recently gave birth. I had question about the different colors i got.

some are red and white like the usual CRS.
some are black and white like the usual CBS.
and some are blue and white which i don't have a clue about. anyone got any info about cbs giving birth to blue and white stripes?

99.9999% sure the blue will turn black as they age. you can't judge shrimp by the baby color if they just gave birth. I've had snow whites look like blue bolts at birth, regular tigers look orange, c grades look like wine reds, etc but as they age, they all looked like adults.

It's also theorized that the "black" in shrimp is a very dark layering of blue, so would make sense that a newborn with not-so-solid black would appear a bit blue at birth.

Default CBS gave birth to diff colors.

I had mischlings that were blue after being shipped but turned black/ brown once being introduced into the tank.
