Where do you get your rocks?

So, where do you get your nice landscaping rocks? Not many natural places in the middle of Manhattan. Pacific Aquarium has some petrified wood, but I am looking for something more on the grey side to go with onyx sand...

Hah! Being in Manhattan, I have the East River and my neighbors are 30 story apartment buildings! If there was a way to get some the rock being excavated from new subway tunnel construction, that would be cool!

Good luck. Unfortunately it's tough to find nice stones in our area. Sometimes your lucky enough to find someone unloading some. Your best bet is to order online. There is a landscaping place out on the island.(skyviewstone) But it's pretty far out. I've never been there myself so I'm not sure what type I stones they have. Most likely local granite.
