Thumbs up

NEW LFS in North Seattle/Shoreline!

I thought I would give a shout out to a brand new (of several) in the North Seattle area.

Aquarium Co-Op just had a soft opening and already even though they are still under construction the place looks great, a lot of choices, clean beautiful tanks. Looking forward to shoping here.

Here is what their website says...

We are located at:

9661 Firdale Avenue

Edmonds WA 98020
206.533.2281

Web: www.aquariumcoop.com

Hours:

Mon-Wed 12pm-8pm

Thursday Closed

Fri-Sat 12pm-8pm

Sunday 12pm-6pm

We focus on freshwater community tank aquariums. We sell plants, nano fish, discus, shrimp, apistogrammas, corydoras, high end guppies, high end swordtails, rare rasboras and tetras etc.

We strive to provide dry goods at low prices. Most of our dry goods are the same price as online vendors.

To give an example. Hikari Frozen 3.5oz packages of bloodworms are $4 for 1, 3 packs for $10, or 12 packs for $35.

We also offer a 10% discount to all Greater Seattle Aquarium Society members.

My boyfriend and I decided to check the place out today and we were not disappointed. Clean tanks, nice selection, good prices, and the owner was very pleasant to chat with. He even ordered a L75 pleco for my boyfriend at a great price! I will definitely be adding Aquarium Co-Op to my list of lfs I frequent!!

I also went to the store and it is very nice and well kept. They also have some nice rimless tanks for sale if you're in the market for a new tank.

I will ask Cory today (the owner) when, not if he will have plants. For all I know he might have them already.

I actually popped in there earlier today, and for only being open a week they had some pretty neat stuff. Lots of cool fish, too. Not a ton of plants yet but they did have some of the hard to find "trident-leaved" Java fern, which I'm pretty stoked about.

Hello everyone,

Also my co2 manifolds arrived. Hopefully have the high light co2 tanks installed within the next week to 10days ish.

Yep, worth the drive peeps. Great store, high quality stuff, and Cory is a great guy.
I really appreciate what he's doing, and where he's coming from with this whole endeavor.
