Default larger community fish

I have a 55 gallon tank that I'm just beginning to stock. So far I have 10 neon tetras and 6 zebra danios. I was realizing that all the fish I'm planning on getting are all going to be approximately the same size- between 1.5" and 2.5".
I'm planning on getting glow light tetra, black phantom tetra, 6 female bettas, and some julii cories.
I would like at least one type of fish that's a bit larger as all of those fish grow to be about the same size. I would like to get some dwarf gourami but I can't because of the bettas. I was advised against angelfish because they could potentially eat my other smaller fish when they are full sized. Any other ideas? Thanks!
