Which 06 series Fluval Canister filter for a 20g long?

With my heavy-moderate planting and AQ70 aqadvisor says my bioload is 84%. I love my AQ 70 but It's just too much flow even on the lowest seeting and the way it's placed makes it impossible to have floating plant cover because they drift to the back corner of the tank. I want to get a Fluval 06 canister but which one is appropriate for my tank? and would i want to buy a spraybar? will that make my fish a little happier since they don't love a lot of flow (the cories don't care but everything else does) if so, which spraybar?

I am planning on filling it with biomax, purigen, polishing pads, peat granules, then i believe there are two sponges? one is black and the other is white, does anyone know what those to are called? the white sponge doesn't look like the AQ foam block..Also what is the stuff that looks like biomax but Fluval calls it prefilter media? do I need it?

I'd go with the 206, should give you enough room for your media and slower 205gph flow rate. The pre filter media is not necessary since I think it comes with 4 white foam blocks. Add poly fill for fine filtering and a bag of Purigen instead of carbon.

I run a 306 that's a little bigger than the 206 and stronger 306 gph flow and it does a good job filtering

I'd say the 206 as well. You can swap out the fluval hose for vinyl hose and make your own spray bar.
