Leveling

Is there a recommended way to level an area for a stand + 90 gal tank?

The actual example is I plan on moving my aquarium to my basement but the issue is that the floor is slightly graded towards a center drainage.

Are shims appropriate? Are there special compression resistant shims I should use? Is there some self-leveling compound that I should consider using instead for a squared off area for this stand + tank?

Thoughts appreciated...

Shims will be fine just don't skimp put more then enough under it to make sure the weight is evenly distributed.

You will want the tank on the stand with some water to get the most accurate level

Default Leveling

When I setup my 75g in my 3rd floor apartment I got a piece of plywood cut in half long ways and put the two pieces on top of each other on the carpet. Then I put the tank on the stand with enough water to reach the top of the bottom trim. From here it's pretty easy to level with some shims from depot. I used pine I think. The water should be the same distance from the trim on every corner. If you use a level make sure to do front to back side to side and diag if you can best of luck!

Oh yeah don't forget to leave enough room behind the tank to put your filters ext.. I forgot this the first time I setup my 75. Lol
