New Aqueon Evolve 4 setup

So I setup this Aqueon evolve 4. Trying to get a low maintenance carpet with a moss tree. Let see how it goes.
Evolve 4
Fluval Plant stratum
Glosso, Xmas moss, HM, hydrocotyle ,red ludwiga
Daily dose of excel(metricide) for CO2

I have put a 13w CFL currently till the plants grow in. Will have to decide to go with stock LED or get something better then.
Added bio blocks in the pump compartment.
Suggestions welcome for scaping it better, what light to use and if daily excel dosage will be sufficient to get a glosso, hydrocotyle carpet.

Substrate is about 2 inches deep.
Battling some new tank algae issues. I might have to get a DIY co2 till the plants grow nicely. Or reduce the light and go slow on this one.
Thanks leaveitweaver!

I am having the same problem with algae now. I am guessing my Finnex is just too much for no CO2 and perhaps I over thought what I would really need in the long run as I plan to only do low maint plants in the first place.

I dosed with excel and spot treated with H2O2 and did a DIY CO2 and now the algae seems to be controlled.
One more water change and a week more of treatment and I think it should be good.
Good growth of all the plants.Click image for larger version

If you are have the brown tide I got rid of mine by adding a bag of phos-zorb to the filter and in about 4 day it was gone and has not come back.
