6g Eclispe in it's current form, a bit on the wild side . Anacharis at rear left, Hornwort at rear right, Java moss & Lace Java Fern on Malaysian Driftwood, Java fern at front left & right, Anubias Barteri var. Nana right of center. Flourite substrate. DIY red slate cave for 2 Black Khuli Loaches at right. Tank also has two Zebra Danio raised from fry, but they're too fast for the cheap digi-cam . Some of the Java Fern & the Anubias have holes in leaves. Increased ferts to see if that helps, and cleaned out a ton of snails. Lighting will soon be upgraded to a 13w kit from AHSupply.

It's a jungle!

I'm thinking about re-doing my 6g eclipse...

That's with stock lighting, right? Did you take out the bio wheel? CO2?

Yeah, it's a jungle, but I kinda like that in this little tank. Stock lighting so far, but it's not good enough to reach to the back that well. I'll be putting in the 13w AHSupply kit in the next week or so.

No CO2, I just dose Flourish, Flourish Iron & Flourish Excel. Might go with some potasium supplementation as well. BIO-Wheel is still there, as I don't do CO2. Took out filter cartridge and went with DIY setup - coarse sponge, Walmart poly-fill, then another sponge just to keep poly-fill fibers in place:

When I get my 20g long setup, it will use CO2 so I might run a line to the Eclipse.

Thanks I have been considering switching to a 10g glass as the Eclipse hood design doesn't work too well in planted tanks, IMHO.

Current form - pretty overgrown! http://www.daemonfly.com/images/6g12-05-03.jpg (best pic out of the bunch...)

13w AHSupply kit over left side, 18w Best Buy PC light over right side.

Anacharis' new growth looks more like Egeria najas than Anacharis. Thinner, pointier, curved leaves with jagged, spiny leaf edges.

Java Moss is growing many new shorter shoots off the main parts. They're growing closer together than compared to lower light growth.

Java Fern & Anubias are doing a lot better since I upped the ferts & lighting.

Some closeups of New Growth:

It's an 18w PC bulb in a Ionizer/Alarm clock thing. Brother brought it over for free.

when you take a photo of the tank... you should adjust the white balance. your pic has way too much green... the rocks are greenish... even the things outside of the tank are greenish. that is not an accurate photo of the colors in your tank.

Well, thats the result of a really cheap cam, and low color-adjustment skills in Photoshop

being a photographer i may be able to help you work photoshop to get the colors more accurate. Try doing "auto levels" that should set it to what the comp thinks should look best. If that doesn't look good (which it may not, its odd for tank shots sometimes) you can manually ajust using the "levels" setting. Also you can work with the color ballance, or even break it down to the RGB and adjust each one of those manually, i forget what that one is under but i believe in your layers pallet it should be one of the tabs you can switch between.
Good luck
If i can help anymore lemme know
Chris
