electric blue rams chicago


i was wondering if any1 knows where i can get a male female pair. also how do you sex them? same way as a regular ram?

matt13 is a breeder of rams and angelfish. he is in palatine and has converted his garage to a nice fishroom. just send him a PM.

I asked the same question about pairs for a 20 gallon he said only 1 pair

You might consider getting a breeding trio 1 boy + 2 girls. Just because you put a boy & a girl together, doesn't insure they will be a breeding pair.

If they do breed they will be more protective of the brood with another fish in the tank. Just be sure to have cover/hidding places

Also the GCCA swap is coming up during the second Sunday in April. It's located in Hillside. Here is the link to there site http://www.gcca.net/. I know there are a couple of guys that sell rams and I know I've seen one fella with electric blues and long finned electric blues. It's a big swap with a lot of nice stuff to buy. I usually attend 2-3 events a year. +1 also on Matt13. I started this hobby with the intentions of rams but he had some Apistos which I bought a harem from and that is how my Apisto addiction began lol.

It's common practice with cichlid breeders. Of course hiding places are important.
