Floaters help staghorn?

If I add floaters to my iwagumi would it help with staghorn? I imagine my glosso and dhg isn't absorbing enough waste and its leading to excess that the algae is utilizing . Could floaters soak up the rest and starve the staghorn that has been weakened by excel?

Floaters like duckweed, water lettuce, and frogbit, will absorb excess nutrients and such from the water column, but that alone will not kill off tour algae. Application of excel, and h2o2, plus manual removal are the only ways I know top "easily" remove algae.
