You can replant it whenever you think it's getting too big for the fish tank. You could probably grow it in the tank for another year or more if there is space for it.
I have some Pandanus utilis
seedlings here and this is another real cool plant. Like P. tectorius
this plant also grows up to be a small tree, but it takes a while.
