Blue Velvet mix with Painted fire red

Have anybody try mixing these two together? I heard somewhere that blue velvet derives from blue or red rili. I think the best possible scenario is the offspring going to come out with blue body and red head.

Could be interesting. I'd like to see a snowball x PFR cross too.

chances are if mixed with cherry you will end up with more red than a combo of the 2. you will basicaly be going backwards in breeding by mixing them. but you might end up with cool looking rili over time

I keep red rilis, cherries, and blue velvets in the same tank. Most of the offspring look like regular red rilis but some shrimplets have a more bluer midsection than the others.

Your best bet would be to keep blue rilis and red rilis together to create what you are talking about since the BV has the mutation that fades the red away.

I have a tank of Blue/Red mixed rilis and I do indeed have some BBRR (Blue Bodied Red Rilis.) Very pretty.

Maybe create a special group thread so people who are interested in doing this project are able to get together and try to create some really beautiful lines? I would LOVE to see more people get back to trying to breed these. It's a very simple project, but challenging and very fun. AND it's something that members can do together. Heck, I'd join that club in a flash!
RAOK Club and BBRR Club! My thinking has been invert-ed!

While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
