I had a AC20 but switched for the AZOO Mignon Filter 60 and luv it! It might not be strong enough but I found it adequate for my 7g cube (12"X12"x12")!

It is cheap too and more compact and quieter than AC20 based on my own experience

Sorry to hijack, but I have the 501 and a Mr.Aqua 12"cube, haven't set it up yet, wondering if I should just put my old eheim 2213 on it since that's what so many are using, so I'm wondering if you're keeping shrimp with the ZooMed 501 and it's adequate?

I have used a simple sponge filter for shrimp only tanks. Very simple
