There will be tons of killifish at the auction. Pretty sure the president of the American killifish association is a new englander. He came to the boston aquarium society meeting 2 months back.

I use to breed WC betta imbellis(butchered most likely) back I'm DR for fighting about 10yrs ago. Usually I wouldn't breed them till they where about a year old and some change. Personal preference of mines

That would be awesome I'm trying to set up a 5g mud tank for my gf. Already have in mind the plants and fish I want. Now it's just a matter of getting them. Hoping I find it all at the convention

I actually got green water which I'm super happy about. I need plants ASAP!!! To take advantage of the green water. Besides that the tank is clear without any media inside the filter. I haven't poked the top layer but it looks like that place on a lake you don't want to walk on cause it looks muddy lol

oh if u don't disturb it it'll be fine, just touching anything, MUD EVERYWHERE!

How do you plant on aerating the soil? with just plants? since poking it with a chopstick will be.... muddy.

Crypts are really root heavy if you need roots to aerate them. (lovely pets sells many types)

I am planning on cultivating Cali blackworms or maybe get a khuli loach or two. Aerating the soil is not a big issue. I had a play sand 3in deep substrate before and between khuli loaches, cories, MTS, and pest snails I never had a problem
