Are long tweezers hard to use?

I have a 24" deep tank and need to find something a little longer for foreground planting than my 6 inchers. Found some 24" ones, and don't mind getting my hands wet, but would like to get long ones as well.

Are these harder to use when they are really long?

It's easier if you use it to pick up dead leaves. Using a 24" to situate plants is another story.

Crud. I think my cheapo planting tongs from Petsmart are about shot. I may just have to buy me another one of those, then. At least they are cheap!

Could 10"-12" planting tongs/tweezers work for you? You can get some fine-pointed ones on eBay for under $10 that work really well and don't take a ton of effort to squeeze.

In my opinion the best for planting are 8 - 10" pincettes, the super pointy ones.

Looks like my target range is 8 to 12 inches for tweezers. Thanks!
