My blyxa japonica, elatine trianda, and limnophila aromatica slowly dies with the 6700K bulb, and HC JUST BARELY stays alive. Basically if you have any high-light plants, you're going to sloooowly go downhill.
Try the 20" 36W fixture from Catalina Aquarium or the AHS 36W fixture. |

Current USA 20" fixture is the best for my 10g. But then you'll have to buy the legs and the daylight bulb since it's not for FW. As for the Catalina fixture, it gets hot, very hot. I think it has something to do with the ballast, so I didn't use it after I figured that out. Too dangerous.
