lighting a 72g bow front

after reading a lot of plantedtank threads, I've kinda put together a lighting system

2x65w 6700k CF
150w pfo icecap hqi halide

still waiting on the halide, it seems like this combo will be very bright...
anyone have a similar setup? is it comfortable to look at when everything is running?

planning to run the halide maybe 5-6hrs a day..

so 1.8wpg dusk dawn
3.9wpg midday

sound ok? apistos tetras corys ok with 3.9wpg w/ halide?

i got a good deal on the CF fixture, if was to redo i would buy one of those fancy CF+halide fixtures... or 4xCFs

Sounds nice. Can you angle the halide a little toward the front to make sure the foreground gets enough light? That's the only limitation on my current setup: 4x 32W T8 (6500K), each is overdriven 2x. I estimate this is a little under 3WPG given my homemade reflectors. I haven't tried any of the foreground carpet plants yet, but I'm assuming the front of the bow doesn't get nearly the amount of light the middle/back gets.

Sound good. Fish will be fine and Apistos will hang low anyways. Ibn, one of the mods has a similar setup on a 3' 90G I believe. You might wanna check that out. He might have gone T5 on the flourescents however. Can't remember. Sounds solid on the photoperiod and i think he discusses that too.
