food issues

So I have noticed that now when I feed the fish in my tank the shrimp go absolutly crazy. They all try to get to the top of the tank. The ones that make it there eat the fish food from the waters surface even if it means they are hanging upside down. Is there any way I can stop this? I really dont wamt them eating the fish food.

Nothing really. My shrimps get exited almost everytime I put anything into the tank. Including my hand lol.

Have you tried feeding the shrimp first? If they're occupied with their own food, they may be less likely to be drawn toward your fish food.

I drop in freeze dried black worms for my betta and the shrimp will swim up, grab a piece and drag it back down, kind of amusing. I stopped stressing about my shrimp though and life is better.
