Oh, I have no idea what a 90 costs, I was just winging a price off the top of my head! lol

So while typing this I called my lfs. All Glass is having a sale now and the 90g is $225. Non sale price is $350 (tank only). Perfecto's is $335. Prolly worth examining the freebie! lol

A free tank (of that size especially) with no silicone + a tube of aquarium silicone + a couple hour's work is still cheaper than a new tank.

That said, I'd wager the fish don't suffer from ammonia burning so much as nitrate poisoning. Definitely a case of Old Tank syndrome that will require gentle acclimatization of the fish back to 'good' water params.

+1 to both parts. A silicone tube is about $4-6 + time. I'd take my chances and spend $4-6 compared to $200+.

Nitrate wouldn't be a problem if they've had green water.
