A buddy just gave me a 18 gallon hex and I was thinking of putting it in my office as a planted tank since I don't want to have to worry about big fish at work. Maybe a few tetras and that's it.
The top has a cut out for a small filter and is 14" across. What's the beast and easiest way to light this thing for plants. Also I won't be running C02 since I don't have anywhere to put a big canister so will I still be able to get good plants in this small tank.
Here is a pick of what it's like but mine is only 18 gallons.
