Removing silicone.

What I'd the best product for removing silicone?

I've gone to town with a razor blade, but there is still some residue. I've heard acetone may work well. Any suggestions?

A razor blade is the only way to completely remove it AFIK. Goof Off, acetone and the like help lifting it, but you always have to scrape it off with a razor.

White vinegar helps to get the last bit off the glass while using the razor blade to scrape it up.

Having resealed a few tanks myself, I have to say that using the best quality razor blades in long handled scraper works really well. For whatever light residue that remains a non scratching scrubber sponge and white vinegar should do it. Several attempts may be needed.
