My fish keeping credentials

Ok I know I am new on this forum, and I know that's an issue for some people who can't wrap their minds around the fact I may have kept a fish or 2 before and may know something here or there. Im definitely no expert at anything planted, but thats why i signed up.

My history of fish keeping was mostly aggressive predatory monster fish. Checkout MFK if you don't believe me same username.

I've kept many different tanks over the years, but here is a quick list.

500g MONSTER community featuring everything from black stingrays bigger than the wheels on your car to 8lb catfish to 26" polys and peacock bass bigger than most largemouth bass i catch. Expense was very high and I got rid of it last spring.

150g wild caught 12" Brazilian rhom setup just over a year and currently selling.

55g tilapia buttikoferi 10" female, Meeko, had for about 4.5years rescued at max size no idea of age

40b green terror community setup for 3 years recently taken down, friend is breeding my male GT.

20g brackish Green spotted puffer tank taken down after a year.

100g red belly piranha community tank. Had just over a year.

7.5g planted nano got me started into keeping plants and shrimp although very easy species only anubias and java fern setup approx 1.5 years

I'm no professional, just a hobbyist. I have no relatives that work for/with any aquarium related companies.

calm down, I 've already stated that I don't against another hobbyist and if your review about the product is from a user point of view instead of a middle man or retailer trying to sell the product, is all fine.
and now you can think about the possibility that a planted Monster tank with the track light fixture and multiple Par38 HO led bulbs method, cost much less.
and welcome to the planted tank.

nice pictures, but if you are using them in some attempt to impress anyone you'll likely fail. most of us could not care less about your credentials. if you want to have a good reputation and have others have faith in your opinions then take the time to build a reputation here. most of us don't care at all who you are or what you've done. if you're helpful, polite, calm, and state your opinions in a tactful and respectful way you will build a a good reputation. from what i've seen from your posts so far you are not earning yourself the respect of anyone, rather the opposite. stop being so easily aggravated and accept the fact that others will always disagree with how you do things, and that is okay. everyone is entitled to voice how they would do things and their opinions.

i still don't understand why this thread is needed. why do you feel the need to "prove" yourself? You know how experienced you are, that is all that matters. there is no need to try and go out and proclaim it to world...
just my 2 cents.

That's a nice, diverse aquatic background! Welcome to the planted side of things.
What is the fish in the picture right under the male GT pic?

This was the only GT I've ever kept, sold him about 3 years ago to a serious breeder.

+1 There are rank novices here that I'm always delighted to see post and who I find entertaining and inspiring. And there are old hands with tons of experience and even awards tucked in their belts who I frankly can't bear to even see their friggin' avatars, much less actually read their posts. Attitude may not be *everything*, but it's pretty darn close.

Credentials? Are you the fish police haha sorry I realize this may be a bad second post but relax bro I've been lurking on here for over a year and 98% of the people here are intelligent helpful and informative no one is attacking you but they might if you keep this up. Just advice from an innocent bystander.

Don't worry about that one member, there are always those people who feel that others are inferior.......... There are many more that are polite, helpful and with great personalities. Anyways, like mentioned, its great to have people of different background in this site.
