My 125

So I have had this tank for about a year and a half and have not really done anything with it due to annoyance of working moving me from one location to another in such a short notice but as that has changed, I have decided to start it back up.

I have also been tasked by my partner not to spend a lot of money and to re use what I have if I can and then buy the things that I really need.

Here is the parts list that I have so far

2 x Eheim 2217 classic filters (had them for years and still going strong)
2 x Hydor inline 300 watt heaters
2x 36 in 4x39watt Nova Extreme 36 in fixtures(total of 312 watts of light)
200 lbs of Eco Complete
50 lbs of blasting sand

Here is a list of what I need to purchase / build

1 x CO2 regulator with solenoid (picking that up this weekend from AquaTek)
1 x Inline CO2 reactor (will build this myself)

Right now I am planning on the following plants (if these will not work with what I have I am open for suggestions)

Anubias barteri var. nana
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Petite'
Cryptocoryne wendtii 'green'
Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Mi Oya'
Cryptocoryne parva
Echinodorus osiris
Microsorum pteropus
Microsorum pteropus 'Trident'
Vesicularia dubyana 'Christmas'
Rotala rotundifolia
Rotala sp. 'green'

Lastly here is a current pic of the layout.

I guess I should also include a list of fish that will be added

4 x Platinum Angels
4 x Gold Pearl Angels
10 x Oto's
4 x SAO's
4 x bristlenose plecos
10 - 12 emerald cory cats

I need a good schooling fish as well. Not sure about Cardinal Tetra's as the angels are big enough to wipe out a school of 40 in a day or two. I would also like to add a few dwarf cichlids but that might be over kill.

What about lemon tetras or Colombian tetras? Can't wait to see the progress on this tank.

I have not kept Colombian tetras in a while so I kind of forgot about them. I might have to check them out again. If I remember correctly they are about 1 1/2 inches so they might do the trick.

A large school of those would look great. I think you should get a school of like 15-20 if possible.

HY511's, red phantoms, black phantoms, or nicer quality bleeding heart tetras would all work with larger angels as well.

Sorry for the delay. Between the holiday weekend and getting yard work done I have not had time to write an update. As of this morning I have ordered replacement bulbs for the fixtures.

The bulbs I have ordered are as follows

4x Giesemann Powerchrome Aquaflora T5 Fluorescent Lamps
4x Giesemann Powerchrome Midday T5 Fluorescent Lamps

There will be two Aquaflora and two Midday in each fixture. I will also be swinging by Aquatek to get my CO2 bottle and Regulator tomorrow or Wednesday.

I will also be ordering some plants tomorrow as well so I can at least have it partiality planted by this weekend.

CO2 regulator and #10 bottle picked up last night and as of yesterday some of the plants have been ordered.

I should be starting the plumbing today so I will try to get as many pics as I can.

Well not much to update. The weather has prevented me from working on the plumbing since I have to work on it outside but it is going to be nice this weekend so I will work on it then.

Also the plants were delayed. They will be shipped next week so I should have most of them by next weekend.

This gives me time to make a new canopy for the tank.

So I had some free time and I thought I would at least knock the plumbing out. I was also able to add a new piece of wood to the tank.

New piece of wood added to the tank. The green is old moss that has since been cleaned off.

Heaters, CO2 diffuser and some power. I also installed a garden style faucet so I could attach a garden hose to the system and drain or fill the tank.

I would be happy to help. Once we get done remodeling I should have more time to devote to everything. The partner just hit me with the fact he wants new flooring throughout the house so I have to do that on top of remodeling the kitchen and two bedrooms lol
