german blue ram eggs


my female just laid eggs and now the male is being very protective of that area. any1 know how long roughly it will take to hatch

They usually hatch in 2 days.

well quick update on the eggs the mom ate them i saw her doing it once so i got a straw and moved her away but i had to sleep and she got em then...dont think it was the male he was gaurding them pritty good and i never saw him eat 1 mabe in a few more months

Yeap, if conditions aren't right water, predators, scavengers, they'll eat em. It's Mother nature's period for Cichlids
