Filtration gone too far?

As some may know I tend to go with a little more filtration than recommended for a given sized tank. However I think I've gone "too far"? The tank is a 50 cube 24x24x20 with a center overflow and two returns for the first filter which is a 2217. I couldn't stop there since I plumbed that into the overflow box without much room for addition of a reactor for the co2 which will eventually go in. I had a nuclear canister lying around and am turning that into a co2 reactor inline with a Rena xp2. The xp2 is currently running with acrylic pipes but not connected to the reactor, currently running to ace for some parts but will post pics of the filtration madness when I get home.

I wouldn't say it's necessary, but it won't hurt anything.

On the bright side, when you have friends over, you can always grab and cup of water from the tank.

Drink it down and look at them with a stern face and say, "Sorry, for being so weird. Would you like a glass too?".
