Strange Larvae in my tank
So I was treating some algae with excel today and I noticed something swim out from under the plant to another spot in the tank. Mind you this tank is home to one newt and a group of amano shrimp. Upon closer inspection, I noticed a small larve with two front leg looking things and a tail. It almost resembled a tiny tad pole. I have had some gnats hanging out on the top of the tank previously and was wondering if maybe this could be one of their larve? It was clear with some black stripe coloration around the head. Anyone every experience these strange critters in their tank?
