The Snailery is Now Open
I must be doing something right... the snails are flourishing! They've set up a snail nursery, have little snail mobiles floating about, and the little snail prams are moving along the sand. LOL
Yes, I do have some algae growing, and I've cut back on my photo period in an attempt to slow it down, but it's not horrible. No matter what, the little shelled critters are extremely happy. I'm going to enjoy them for now. The little buggers are kind of cute. I hope my future shrimp will be as happy to reproduce as the snails are. Params seem to be evening out as I learn more about GH and KH. Turned the heater off in the 4g and it seems to be holding steady in low to mid 70s. I'll move the thermometer over to the 10g in a day or so and see what will work best over there. Want some BVs in the 4g and some Rilis in the 10g. I think there will still be room with the snails.

Woohoo!!! I'm glad to hear you have snail babies!
My opinion is there is always room for a snail or two!

I've got lots of ramshorns, a few MTS, and somehow pond snails joined in the fun, Brian.

My snail population was staying pretty steady then all of a sudden it blew up. A couple of the kids were counting last night and there were 30 visible at the last count in my 35 with some very tiny babies. I told the kids to look in the 'jungle' and they found more :P

It's always fun to try and count all the MTS.
