150watt heater too much?


29g tank. Is a finnex 150 watt digital controller too much heat? it is alot cheaper than the 100 watt...

Equals 5.17watts

Might be a bit much. Just make sure it has good flow and it won't be way too much.

Hello Soup...

A 150 watt heater is recommended for your tank. You should figure 5 watts per gallon of tank volume up to a 30 gallon tank. Tanks over that size are good with 3 watts per gallon.
