I go out to Worcester occasionally. I have literally fistfuls of needle leaf java fern and some random stem plants if you'd like.

And that is a beautiful use of vertical space! Some seriously talented people here with super inspiring tanks.
It's on my list of things to read about. That list is really long!

Thanks for that offer ... Will take you up on it when I finally get things setup. Appreciate it.

You could probably get a decent price on a tank at All New Tropical World off of West Boylston St. Cash only. Gives good prices on equipment. Very few plants. $20 per bag of ECO complete (when he has it). I haven't purchased any live stock there.
They'll give you tank prices through email so you can negotiate before you make the trip. They're a little slow answering the emails.
If you go, check out his tanks that have drift wood. That is what they look like if you don't boil first.

Hmm, i didnt even know about that place. I'll have to check it out. How are the fish? Is there a main species they do most?

Small fish selection. Salt and fresh. Some corals and stuff too (I don't know much about the salt stuff).
Sort of a small operation, had to visit twice to get 100 lbs of Eco complete. Didn't have any help with pressurized CO2.
I was working on purchasing a 90 gallon set up from him but then snagged a 125 from Craigslist. His prices were better than the local chain stores. He seems aggressive with his pricing, claims he'll beat any other price.
He also has a guy that makes stands and they looked pretty nice.
I think they used to be further north on West Boylston St but moved.
I think he's a little flaky but better than of the chain stores or the high prices in Framingham.

I have had the same experience at All New Tropical. He is very friendly and he is the one ordering the tank for me. Best price on a tank by far. Other points I would concur on.

Better follow up on that tank order.
He "ordered" a 72x18 canopy for me twice. I still don't have one and probably won't get one. I guess his flakiness probably saved me some money.

Yea - we will see. Smile. He quoted me $89 for a 50 gallon. I know he was upset last week at not getting all his orders in from the week before ... hard to know if it's his fault but it does seem to be really cheap. I'll call before I make the trip over there.

Nice guy though. I'll keep going back even though the drive is 10 times longer than my drive to the chain store.

I went there once and just about every single tank I looked in had at least one fish completely covered in ich. But that was a year ago so maybe things have changed, wasn't worth the 45min drive for me. He was very nice though.
