do you see that metal holder on top of the lamp used to hang the light?

how can i modify a home depot work light like this?

If your using a "clip on" light remove the clamp. Drill 3 equidistant holes around the rim and then use S hooks and chain to hang the light. The chain would meet at the top and you would combine so that you have one only to hang from.
Another way is to bend a coat hanger to the hoop shape and drill 2 holes towards the base to insert the hoop.

haha thanks very much. i came to the same conclusion that i can use a hanger too if i wanted. hehe

Yeah I think I'd like the chain better. Nice black chain with the cord strung up the center. like a swag. Would work even better if there were an outlet right above.

But for only fourteen bucks I doubt I'd want to put much effort into a DIY.
