Brown algae on sand

How do i get the brown algae off the top layer of the sand in my tank? Will just turning over the sand do the trick?

I've heard stories about people using sand vacs, which are basically used to clean the sand. Otherwise, treat it with some medications.

Try controlling light time period or PAR (adjust height/angle).

Consider Nerites and otos
